We are pleased to offer a prenatal yoga class designed to prepare you both physically and emotionally for the upcoming birth of your baby. Our prenatal program is a gentle, safe and supportive birthing preparation system consisting of yoga postures, breathing techniques, and visualization and relaxation skills proven to be beneficial to both mother and baby.
Practicing yoga during pregnancy gives you the opportunity to take time out to honor your changing body and to connect with the many emotions that surface as a new life grows within. Our bi-weekly classes will give you the opportunity to feel a sense of community with other pregnant women -- to share your stories and experiences as you embark on this journey towards labor, delivery and conscious parenting.
Yoga for pregnancy will do more than strengthen, tone, stretch and release tightness, tension or stiffness from your muscles. It will offer you the skills to remember how to melt and soften enough to go inward to the innate wisdom of your body. Birthing isn't an intellectual process; it is a physically challenging event that requires the mind to both focus and surrender into a practiced state of calm, allowing the body to do what it has known how to do for thousands of years.
